Hiroshi Kato The Scissors Slim Tapered / Kirk

This wash was introduced in the 80s Punk scene. They would bleach their own raw selvedge denim to get this look, later adopted by fashion brands. We added our own touch by using a black reactive dyed weft, instead of the usual white weft. This black weft will stay dark as the indigo dye on the face of the denim continues to fade, creating a very original indigo black denim, featuring a red and purple selvedge ID.

Kato’s respect for denim reaches back decades. Our years of experience and research resulted in our own version of the highly sought after denim of the 50s. We crafted this fabric with meticulous precision to replicate the uniform texture of the faded vintage denim collected for the Kato archives.
